Built from the inside.

CADEUS™ didn’t come from a textbook. It came from twenty-one years of watching organisations struggle with pressure up close — and from learning how much can remain hidden beneath a visible problem.

Aumlan Guha

Aumlan spent over twenty-one years working inside companies — making sure the way organisations work actually holds up under pressure. It’s not a glamorous job. But it puts you in the room when things go wrong, and keeps you there long enough to see why.

What he noticed, again and again, was that the companies that came out of a crisis stronger weren’t the biggest or the richest. They were the ones built in a particular way — a way that let them actually learn from the pressure instead of just surviving it. He didn’t have a name for this at the time. A researcher named Nassim Nicholas Taleb, in 2012, gave it one: he called it “antifragile” — not just tough enough to survive a hit, but built to come out stronger because of it.

Alongside the practical work, Aumlan also went deeper academically. He holds two Master’s degrees in Management — one from the University of Calcutta, and one from Vilnius University in Lithuania, where he graduated with distinction. He is currently pursuing doctoral research from a business school in Switzerland, studying exactly this question: how organisations get better at handling pressure. The research and the consulting work are really the same thing, just done at a deeper level of rigour.

The most personal part of the story came later. Aumlan began asking why capable people and organisations can remain stuck even when they are working hard and using sensible tools. That question sharpened the practice: locate the mechanism beneath the visible problem, then choose the intervention that fits it.

That question is the reason CADEUS™ takes a strong position on evidence, root-cause diagnosis, and the design of environments that let people and organisations perform at their best. The point is not sympathy. It is better understanding, better decisions, and more durable outcomes.

CADEUS™ stands for Complex, Ambiguous, Dynamic, Evolving, Unnerving, Stressful — which is really just a description of the world most organisations and people are dealing with every day. The firm exists because most people and organisations have more in them than their current circumstances let them show — and because Aumlan has spent his career learning exactly how to help unlock that.
